Our comprehensive guide provides easy, effective solutions for removing common stains like coffee, ink, and mud from your chair fabric. Pencil Lead

Use water free dry cleaning solvents such as Energine. Wet cloth with cleaner and blot. Follow with small amount of ammonia water. Rinse, let dry and then vacuum.

Candle Wax

Gently scrape away the surface wax with a spatula or dull knife. Or cover with several layers of paper towels and apply warm iron.

Soda

Use water based cleaning agents, such as Resolve or mix 2 tbsp ammonia or Ajax to 1 quart of water. Blot the stain gently and continue turning the cloth so you're always using a clean portion.

Coffee

Sponge with lukewarm water.

Fruit Stains

For fruit juice or berry stains, treat with cold water.

Chocolate

Sponge with lukewarm water.

Ink

Use rubbing alcohol. Use only water-based cleaning agents, such as Resolve, or mix 2 tablespoons of ammonia or ammoniated detergents such as Ajax to 1 quart of water. Blot the stain gently with this solution. Continue turning the cloth so you're always using a clean portion.

Mud

Lift away excess mud with spatula or dull knife. Let dry, then vacuum. If stain persists, clean with cloth dampened with ammonia-water. Use only water based cleaning agents, such as Resolve or mix 2 tablespoons of ammonia or ammoniated detergents such as Ajax to 1 quart of water. Blot the stain gently with this solution. Continue turning the cloth so you're always using a clean portion.

Sweat or Urine

Use a water based cleaning agent such as Resolve or Ajax, or mix 2 tbsp ammonia with 1 quart of water. Blot gently and continue turning the cloth so you're always using a clean portion. Follow with a small amount of ammonia water. Rinse, let dry, then vacuum.

Chewing Gum

Freeze with ice, remove with spatula or dull knife.

Oil, Grease or Fat

Use only mild pure water free dry cleaning solvents such as Energine. Wet cloth with spot cleaner and blot.

Deodorants

For deodorant cream, stick or spray: Use only mild pure water-free dry cleaning solvents such as Energine. Wet cloth with spot cleaner and blot gently.

Milk

Use only water-based cleaning products, such as Resolve or mix 2 tablespoons of ammonia or ammoniated detergent such as Ajax to 1 quart of water. Blot gently.

Blood

Mild soap with warm water and hydrogen peroxide.

Vomit

Treat with cold water. Follow with unseasoned meat tenderizer. Let sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse, let dry, then vacuum.
